The latest generation of high-powered 200 W RevoLix 2 micron thulium laser prostatectomy is now offered by Dr Haxhimolla. This is a transurethral procedure which can enucleate or vaporize the prostate tissue using a continuous or pulse wave mode. It has excellent hemostatic and safety properties. Blood transfusion and complications are very rare and patients are often discharged the same or following day catheter free. It has been shown to be as effective and safe as a transurethral resection of prostate (TURP).
